It had been some time since Yua's adventure into the First, now with the land trying to find a way to rebuild after the return of the night sky. Perhaps it was because of it, she has a new appreciation of the beauty of the stars, the color of the skies when the light vanishes for the time. And Yua has been wandering more around Eorzea during the night taking in the sights.

It's when she is around Mor Dhona that during one of her trips, there is something that catches her eye: a very large tentacled creature slithering around like a serpent with a gaping jaw.

"That's odd, I haven't heard of a Hunt Mark like that one-" She stops in mid sentence because the voidsent doesn't even bother to take notice of her but rather a figure lying on the ground. She can't tell who it is from where she is standing but that does not mean the viera woman will simply stand there. Unhooking her chakrams from her belt, she dashes forward and throws them at the monster's eyes.

"Hey Ugly! Over here!"

Yua couldn't think of a snappier comeback, there's more important things like making sure that guy who is lying there doesn't get hurt.

"Who on earth would even be out here around something like this?"

"Lahabrea was weakened considerably by constantly hopping around and changing bodies," Emet replies. "But either way, I should have died and stayed dead after what you did."

"And yet here you are." It's said quietly as she stares straight at him.

"Important question, though I suspect I know the answer." Rhel steps between Yua and Emet, though being so short means nothing really...happens. "Has anyone asked a priest to inspect him? Just to see if there's any signs of a certain god in his aether?"

"I haven't thought about that if I'm honest." Yua admits, scratching her cheek but then addressing Rhel. "Might you know anyone who can do it?"

"You do remember that the thamuaturge's guild is part of the Church of Nald'thal, right?"

"Anyone willing who isn't a stick in the mud?"

Looking at you, Yayake.

"Lalai?"

Obviously.

Obviously.

"Yes, like her. She'd be interested in learning more about that, wouldn't she?"

"Extremely--and she can do it without blood magic," Rhel says before Emet can protest. "Won't blab either."

"Then we found our choice." Yua nods. "We should probably ask her when it isn't so late. Even those who study the dark arts are needing sleep too."

"Can I ask why you two deem it necessary to both talk about me like I'm not here and bring people around to as though I am an invalid?"

"Because you're like a cat; hard to move and the only way to get things done is by force or bring the things to you. And I doubt you want me to carry you out so..."

Yua will do it. She will carry him bridal style to the places if he fusses.

"Not to mention this needs to be done, you likely would not like it to be done, and we don't really want you to be seen wandering the city-states at large," Rhel offers. "Which reminds me, Yua, Nero's gone missing again."

"Especially when most would be very leery about the very obvious Garlean sign on you." Yua also adds on. "It's why there's glamour prisms in the wardrobe; they works just as well on skin too."

But then, Rhel mentions Nero and Yua has to wonder why the hell did the guy go missing again? He's pretty much a deserter to the Empire like Cid so why the hell would he run off?

"Do you think Cid found him and was trying to get his money out after the adventure with Omega? I remember him being pretty pissed about that."

"Rumors at the Ironworks seem to imply that Nero finally kissed Cid before panicking and fleeing."

And that? Makes Yua start to bust out in laughter. "Hell Hath No Fury Like A Lover Scorned! At least face them once you do the thing! It might be awkward as hell but own it!"

Irony isn't it?

"So let me guess: call Cid if I see him?"

"Actually, Jessie asked me to ask you to sit on him or otherwise render him unable to flee and then call Cid."

"Oh is that it? I can do that for sure and have no issues tying him up if needed." Yua grins. "I got a few scarves and such for some of the dancing outfits I own so they should work."

Emet, though already used to this behavior, has to speak up. "You two do realize how utterly terrifying you are, yes?"

"Only if you cross us."

"Why thank you. Good to know we do our jobs well."

Sure Yua will go along with it. It's true though which is the scarier part. She's tempted to mention that if Emet does end up making her mad, she'll use those scarves on him. But then again, phrasing.

"Hmm. A small wonder Lahabrea fell to you. He was always something of a coward."

"But he tried." Maybe a gold star for effort. "He couldn't have been much of one."

Yua is probably giving the guy too much credit but even she knew Lahabrea was no slouch. "Or rather, the want to fight decided to override the fear."

"And he still got eaten by an elezen turned primal," Emet replies. "I told him that idea was going to backfire, but he never listened."

"The same man who thought becoming a god-king was going to bring peace. I swear Thordan believed his own hype." Yua shakes her head as she looks back at the battle between him and his knights. Strangely, his last words began to ring in her mind again:

'Who...what are you?!'

She shakes her head at the memory, hoping no one else noticed her spacing out.

Both Emet and Rhel did, but neither say anything about it.

"Of course he did. They always do."
