It had been some time since Yua's adventure into the First, now with the land trying to find a way to rebuild after the return of the night sky. Perhaps it was because of it, she has a new appreciation of the beauty of the stars, the color of the skies when the light vanishes for the time. And Yua has been wandering more around Eorzea during the night taking in the sights.

It's when she is around Mor Dhona that during one of her trips, there is something that catches her eye: a very large tentacled creature slithering around like a serpent with a gaping jaw.

"That's odd, I haven't heard of a Hunt Mark like that one-" She stops in mid sentence because the voidsent doesn't even bother to take notice of her but rather a figure lying on the ground. She can't tell who it is from where she is standing but that does not mean the viera woman will simply stand there. Unhooking her chakrams from her belt, she dashes forward and throws them at the monster's eyes.

"Hey Ugly! Over here!"

Yua couldn't think of a snappier comeback, there's more important things like making sure that guy who is lying there doesn't get hurt.

"Who on earth would even be out here around something like this?"

Yua shrugs as she drops her bag filled with festival clothing, masks, and fireworks. The namazu mask is firmly on her face so it's hard to tell what her expression is.

"I take it from how the house didn't explode that everything went well."

No it did not but the job was done.

"I was able to get enough blood drawn from him to do a few tests," Leo assures her.

"I should bring this house down around everyone's ears," Emet spits, standing. "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't--"

"Your aether is significantly diminished and you've yet to recover even half of it," Rhel pipes up as Leo teleports out. "You can't cast so much as a basic blizzard spell."

"It's that bad?" Yua lifts up the mask and looks surprised. In honesty, if Emet had all his powers, he'd more than likely would do much worse than blow up a house.

"I truly have to wonder who is powerful enough to leave you in such a state." But it's not for his sake Yua ponders this; it's her wondering if an ascian is a master of creation magic, who is stronger than that past a god?

"Current theory is one of the Twelve," Rhel offers. "That or something went horribly awry on the First."

"I can believe something happened on the First. As to what, it's hard to say." Yua speaks. "I've been back there from time to time and nothing out of the ordinary has happened since."

There is something she keeps silent on: Amaurot. The fact that Yua has been there a couple times since the fight with Hades and nothing has happened while there as well.

"Other than the overhaul of society and Light not being all consuming of course."

And Rhel knows exactly what she's not mentioning, so she won't mention it either.

"Maybe it has to do with how you killed him."

"But everything was the same." Yua then winces because they are literally talking about how the only man in the room died by her hand. "Sorry to bring it up but it's the only way we can figure what happened."

"It was the exact same way as before: white aurcite and a massive amount of aether. But that doesn't explain why someone like Lahabrea isn't here and yet Emet-Selch is. Maybe there's some connection here on the Source that he was able to be taken out of the Lifestream?"

"Lahabrea was weakened considerably by constantly hopping around and changing bodies," Emet replies. "But either way, I should have died and stayed dead after what you did."

"And yet here you are." It's said quietly as she stares straight at him.

"Important question, though I suspect I know the answer." Rhel steps between Yua and Emet, though being so short means nothing really...happens. "Has anyone asked a priest to inspect him? Just to see if there's any signs of a certain god in his aether?"

"I haven't thought about that if I'm honest." Yua admits, scratching her cheek but then addressing Rhel. "Might you know anyone who can do it?"

"You do remember that the thamuaturge's guild is part of the Church of Nald'thal, right?"

"Anyone willing who isn't a stick in the mud?"

Looking at you, Yayake.

"Lalai?"

Obviously.

Obviously.

"Yes, like her. She'd be interested in learning more about that, wouldn't she?"

"Extremely--and she can do it without blood magic," Rhel says before Emet can protest. "Won't blab either."

"Then we found our choice." Yua nods. "We should probably ask her when it isn't so late. Even those who study the dark arts are needing sleep too."

"Can I ask why you two deem it necessary to both talk about me like I'm not here and bring people around to as though I am an invalid?"

"Because you're like a cat; hard to move and the only way to get things done is by force or bring the things to you. And I doubt you want me to carry you out so..."

Yua will do it. She will carry him bridal style to the places if he fusses.

"Not to mention this needs to be done, you likely would not like it to be done, and we don't really want you to be seen wandering the city-states at large," Rhel offers. "Which reminds me, Yua, Nero's gone missing again."

"Especially when most would be very leery about the very obvious Garlean sign on you." Yua also adds on. "It's why there's glamour prisms in the wardrobe; they works just as well on skin too."

But then, Rhel mentions Nero and Yua has to wonder why the hell did the guy go missing again? He's pretty much a deserter to the Empire like Cid so why the hell would he run off?

"Do you think Cid found him and was trying to get his money out after the adventure with Omega? I remember him being pretty pissed about that."

"Rumors at the Ironworks seem to imply that Nero finally kissed Cid before panicking and fleeing."

And that? Makes Yua start to bust out in laughter. "Hell Hath No Fury Like A Lover Scorned! At least face them once you do the thing! It might be awkward as hell but own it!"

Irony isn't it?

"So let me guess: call Cid if I see him?"

"Actually, Jessie asked me to ask you to sit on him or otherwise render him unable to flee and then call Cid."

"Oh is that it? I can do that for sure and have no issues tying him up if needed." Yua grins. "I got a few scarves and such for some of the dancing outfits I own so they should work."
